Support us

Our membership consists of a diverse section of the community, not just from South Wales, but also from all over the U.K. We value everyone who joins us. Some members are just happy to support, knowing that they are kept up to date with what is happening on and along the canal they love. Others wish to become more actively involved, it’s up to you, just give us a ring or email us if you would like to volunteer to help us. Contact details are HERE

Our Trust only exits and functions because of the dedication of our volunteers. We welcome offers of assistance whether it be to work on the canals cleaning up rubbish, organising events, undertaking administrative work, helping to run our Trip Boat or assisting in looking after our Information Centre in Newport. There is a whole host of roles that we need help with. If you can spare some time, please contact us, you will find us a very friendly and welcoming group of canal enthusiasts.

Fancy helping to operate a Trip Boat?

Canal Trusts in South Wales are looking for volunteers to train to be helmsmen and women. If you are reasonable fit and have a couple of days a year spare, why not join us.
